Sura: AL‑BAQARAH

Aya : 165

And [yet], among the people are those who take other than AllŒh as equals [to Him]. They love them as they [should] love AllŒh. But those who believe are stronger in love for AllŒh. And if only they who have wronged would consider [that] when they see the punishment, [they will be certain] that all power belongs to AllŒh and that AllŒh is severe in punishment.

Sura: AL‑BAQARAH

Aya : 209

But if you slip [i.e., deviate] after clear proofs have come to you, then know that AllŒh is Exalted in Might and Wise.

Sura: ĀLI ‘IMRĀN

Aya : 4

Before, as guidance for the people. And He revealed the Criterion [i.e., the QurÕŒn]. Indeed, those who disbelieve in the verses of AllŒh will have a severe punishment, and AllŒh is Exalted in Might, the Owner of Retribution.[1]

1-i.e., He who restores justice by punishing those who persist in wrongdoing, fail to heed warnings and are unrepentant

Sura: AN-NISĀ’

Aya : 139

Those who take disbelievers as allies instead of the believers. Do they seek with them honor [through power]? But indeed, honor belongs to AllŒh entirely.[1]

1- Being the source of all power and honor, AllŒh grants them to whom He wills.

Sura: AL‑MĀ’IDAH

Aya : 95

O you who have believed, do not kill game while you are in the state of iúrŒm.[1] And whoever of you kills it intentionally the penalty is an equivalent from sacrificial animals to what he killed, as judged by two just men among you as an offering [to AllŒh] delivered to the KaÔbah, or an expiation: the feeding of needy people or the equivalent of that in fasting, that he may taste the consequence of his matter [i.e., deed]. AllŒh has pardoned what is past; but whoever returns [to violation], then AllŒh will take retribution from him. And AllŒh is Exalted in Might and Owner of Retribution.[2]

1- See footnote to 5:1.
2- Refer to footnote for 3:5.

Sura: AL‑AN‘ĀM

Aya : 18

And He is the subjugator over His servants. And He is the Wise,[1] the Aware.[2]

1- Whose wisdom includes precise, perfect and absolute knowledge of all  realities and outcomes, according to which He decrees and causes circumstances and occurrences.
2- Fully acquainted and familiar with every hidden thought, intent and condition of His servants.

Sura: AL‑AN‘ĀM

Aya : 61

And He is the subjugator over His servants, and He sends over you guardian-angels until, when death comes to one of you, Our messengers [i.e., angels of death] take him, and they do not fail [in their duties].

Sura: AL‑ANFĀL

Aya : 49

[Remember] when the hypocrites and those in whose hearts was disease [i.e., arrogance and disbelief] said, "Their religion has deluded those [Muslims]." But whoever relies upon AllŒh then indeed, AllŒh is Exalted in Might and Wise.

Sura: AL‑ANFĀL

Aya : 52

[Theirs is] like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and of those before them. They disbelieved in the signs of AllŒh, so AllŒh seized them for their sins. Indeed, AllŒh is Powerful and severe in penalty.

Sura: HŪD

Aya : 66

So when Our command came, We saved êŒliú and those who believed with him, by mercy from Us, and [saved them] from the disgrace of that day.[1] Indeed, it is your Lord who is the Powerful, the Exalted in Might.

1- The day of Tham´d's destruction.

Sura: AR-RA‘D

Aya : 16

Say, "Who is Lord of the heavens and earth?" Say, "AllŒh." Say, "Have you then taken besides Him allies not possessing [even] for themselves any benefit or any harm?" Say, "Is the blind equivalent to the seeing? Or is darkness equivalent to light? Or have they attributed to AllŒh partners who created like His creation so that the creation [of each] seemed similar to them?"[1] Say, "AllŒh is the Creator of all things, and He is the One, the Prevailing."[2]

1- The obvious conclusion is that the claimed partners, having no ability to create, cannot be compared to AllŒh in any way.
2- Refer to footnotes in 12:39.

Sura: IBRĀHEEM

Aya : 47

So never think that AllŒh will fail in His promise to His messengers. Indeed, AllŒh is Exalted in Might and Owner of Retribution.[1]

1- Refer to footnote for 3:(5)

Sura: AL‑ḤAJJ

Aya : 40

[They are] those who have been evicted from their homes without right only because they say, "Our Lord is AllŒh." And were it not that AllŒh checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of AllŒh is much mentioned [i.e., praised]. And AllŒh will surely support those who support Him [i.e., His cause]. Indeed, AllŒh is Powerful and Exalted in Might.

Sura: AL‑ḤAJJ

Aya : 74

They have not appraised AllŒh with true appraisal.[1] Indeed, AllŒh is Powerful and Exalted in Might.

1- They have not assessed Him with the assessment due to Him, meaning that they did not take into account His perfect attributes.

Sura: AR-RŪM

Aya : 5

In the victory of AllŒh.[1] He gives victory to whom He wills, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

1- i.e., the victory given by AllŒh to a people of the Scripture (Christians) over the Magians of Persia.

Sura: AL‑AḤZĀB

Aya : 25

And AllŒh repelled those who disbelieved, in their rage, not having obtained any good. And sufficient was AllŒh for the believers in battle, and ever is AllŒh Powerful and Exalted in Might.

Sura: FĀṬIR

Aya : 10

Whoever desires honor [through power] then to AllŒh belongs all honor.[1] To Him ascends good speech, and righteous work raises it.[2] But they who plot evil deeds will have a severe punishment, and the plotting of those it will perish.

1- See footnote to 4:139.
2- For acceptance by AllŒh, meaning that righteous deeds are confirmation and proof of what is uttered by the tongue.

Sura: GHĀFIR

Aya : 16

The Day they come forth nothing concerning them will be concealed from AllŒh. To whom belongs [all] sovereignty this Day? To AllŒh, the One, the Prevailing.[1]

1- Refer to footnotes in 12:39.

Sura: FUṢṢILAT

Aya : 15

As for ÔAad, they were arrogant upon the earth without right and said, "Who is greater than us in strength?" Did they not consider that AllŒh who created them was greater than them in strength? But they were rejecting Our signs.

Sura: AL‑JĀTHIYAH

Aya : 37

And to Him belongs [all] grandeur within the heavens and the earth, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

Sura: AL‑FATḤ

Aya : 7

And to AllŒh belong the soldiers of the heavens and the earth. And ever is AllŒh Exalted in Might and Wise.

Sura: ADH-DHĀRIYĀT

Aya : 58

Indeed, it is AllŒh who is the [continual] Provider,[1] the firm possessor of strength.

1- Providing everything required by His creations during their decreed existence. His provision includes guidance.

Sura: AL‑QAMAR

Aya : 42

They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability.

Sura: AL‑ḤASHR

Aya : 23

He is AllŒh, other than whom there is no deity, the Sovereign,[1] the Pure,[2] the Perfection,[3] the Grantor of Security,[4] the Overseer,[5] the Exalted in Might,[6] the Compeller,[7] the Superior.[8] Exalted is AllŒh above whatever they associate with Him.

1- And owner of everything in existence.
2- i.e., transcendent above any aspect belonging to His creation. Also, the possessor and grantor of blessings.
3- Literally, "Free" from any imperfection. Also, "Peace" or "Soundness."
4- And safety, i.e., reassurance that His promise is always fulfilled. Also, He who bestows faith.
5- i.e., who observes, guards and protects. Also, "the Criterion."
6- Refer to footnote in 2:129.
7- Whose irresistible force is without limitation; the one above all things who compels the creation to be as He wills it. Also, "the Amender" or "the Rectifier" who repairs, restores, completes or sets something right once again, out of His mercy.
8- Supreme, complete and perfect in His essence, attributes and actions.
