Surah: AL‑‘ANKABŪT

Ayah : 58

And those who have believed and done righteous deeds We will surely assign to them of Paradise [elevated] chambers beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally. Excellent is the reward of the [righteous] workers

Surah: AL‑‘ANKABŪT

Ayah : 59

Who have been patient and upon their Lord rely.

Surah: LUQMĀN

Ayah : 12

And We had certainly given LuqmŒn wisdom [and said], "Be grateful to AllŒh." And whoever is grateful is grateful for [the benefit of] himself. And whoever denies [His favor] then indeed, AllŒh is Free of need and Praiseworthy.

Surah: LUQMĀN

Ayah : 13

And [mention, O Muúammad], when LuqmŒn said to his son while he was instructing him, "O my son, do not associate [anything] with AllŒh. Indeed, association [with Him] is great injustice."

Surah: LUQMĀN

Ayah : 14

And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination.

Surah: LUQMĀN

Ayah : 15

But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge,[1] do not obey them but accompany them in [this] world with appropriate kindness and follow the way of those who turn back to Me [in repentance]. Then to Me will be your return, and I will inform you about what you used to do.

1- See footnote to 29:8.

Surah: LUQMĀN

Ayah : 16

[And LuqmŒn said], "O my son, indeed if it [i.e., a wrong] should be the weight of a mustard seed and should be within a rock or [anywhere] in the heavens or in the earth, AllŒh will bring it forth. Indeed, AllŒh is Subtle[1] and Aware.

1- Refer to footnote of 6:103.

Surah: LUQMĀN

Ayah : 17

O my son, establish prayer, enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and be patient over what befalls you. Indeed, [all] that is of the matters [requiring] resolve.[1]

1- For the reason that they are enjoined by AllŒh.

Surah: LUQMĀN

Ayah : 18

And do not turn your cheek [in contempt] toward people[1] and do not walk through the earth exultantly. Indeed, AllŒh does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful.

1- Rather, respect them by directing your face and attention to them.

Surah: LUQMĀN

Ayah : 19

And be moderate in your pace and lower your voice; indeed, the most disagreeable of sounds is the voice of donkeys."

Surah: AZ-ZUMAR

Ayah : 9

Is one who is devoutly obedient during periods of the night, prostrating and standing [in prayer], fearing the Hereafter and hoping for the mercy of his Lord, [like one who does not]? Say, "Are those who know equal to those who do not know?" Only they will remember [who are] people of understanding.

Surah: AZ-ZUMAR

Ayah : 10

Say,[1] "O My servants who have believed, fear your Lord. For those who do good in this world is good, and the earth of AllŒh is spacious. Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account [i.e., limit]."

1- The Prophet () is instructed to say on behalf of AllŒh (subúŒnahu wa taÔŒlŒ) to His believing servants.

Ayah : 73

But those who feared their Lord will be driven to Paradise in groups until, when they reach it while its gates have been opened and its keepers say, "Peace be upon you; you have become pure; so enter it to abide eternally therein," [they will enter].[1]

1- In such honor and joy that is beyond description thus, the omission of this conclusion in the Arabic text.

Surah: AZ-ZUKHRUF

Ayah : 68

Those are the companions of Paradise, abiding eternally therein as reward for what they used to do.

Surah: AL‑AḤQĀF

Ayah : 15

And We have enjoined upon man, to his parents, good treatment. His mother carried him with hardship and gave birth to him with hardship, and his gestation and weaning [period] is thirty months. [He grows] until, when he reaches maturity and reaches [the age of] forty years, he says, "My Lord, enable me[1] to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to work righteousness of which You will approve and make righteous for me my offspring.
