Surah: AL‑BAQARAH

Ayah : 154

And do not say about those who are killed in the way of AllŒh, "They are dead." Rather, they are alive, but you perceive [it] not.

Surah: ĀLI ‘IMRĀN

Ayah : 140

If a wound should touch you there has already touched the [opposing] people a wound similar to it. And these days [of varying conditions] We alternate among the people so that AllŒh may make evident those who believe and [may] take to Himself from among you martyrs and AllŒh does not like the wrongdoers

Surah: ĀLI ‘IMRĀN

Ayah : 157

And if you are killed in the cause of AllŒh or die then forgiveness from AllŒh and mercy are better than whatever they accumulate [in this world].

Surah: ĀLI ‘IMRĀN

Ayah : 158

And whether you die or are killed, unto AllŒh you will be gathered.

Surah: ĀLI ‘IMRĀN

Ayah : 169

And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of AllŒh as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision,

Surah: ĀLI ‘IMRĀN

Ayah : 170

Rejoicing in what AllŒh has bestowed upon them of His bounty, and they receive good tidings about those [to be martyred] after them who have not yet joined them that there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.

Surah: ĀLI ‘IMRĀN

Ayah : 171

They receive good tidings of favor from AllŒh and bounty and [of the fact] that AllŒh does not allow the reward of believers to be lost

Surah: ĀLI ‘IMRĀN

Ayah : 195

And their Lord responded to them, "Never will I allow to be lost the work of [any] worker among you, whether male or female; you are of one another. So those who emigrated or were evicted from their homes or were harmed in My cause or fought or were killed I will surely remove from them their misdeeds, and I will surely admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow as reward from AllŒh, and AllŒh has with Him the best reward."

Surah: AN-NISĀ’

Ayah : 69

And whoever obeys AllŒh and the Messenger those will be with the ones upon whom AllŒh has bestowed favor of the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs and the righteous. And excellent are those as companions.

Surah: AN-NISĀ’

Ayah : 74

So let those fight in the cause of AllŒh who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter. And he who fights in the cause of AllŒh and is killed or achieves victory We will bestow upon him a great reward.

Surah: AL‑ḤAJJ

Ayah : 58

And those who emigrated for the cause of AllŒh and then were killed or died AllŒh will surely provide for them a good provision. And indeed, it is AllŒh who is the best of providers.

Surah: AL‑ḤAJJ

Ayah : 59

He will surely cause them to enter an entrance with which they will be pleased, and indeed, AllŒh is Knowing and Forbearing.

Surah: MUḤAMMAD

Ayah : 4

So when you meet those who disbelieve [in battle], strike [their] necks until, when you have inflicted slaughter upon them, then secure [their] bonds,[1] and either [confer] favor[2] afterwards or ransom [them] until the war lays down its burdens.[3] That [is the command]. And if AllŒh had willed, He could have taken vengeance upon them [Himself], but [He ordered armed struggle] to test some of you by means of others. And those who are killed in the cause of AllŒh never will He waste their deeds.

1- i.e., take those remaining as captives.
2- i.e., release them without ransom.
3- i.e., its armor, machinery, etc., meaning "until the war is over."

Surah: AL‑ḤADEED

Ayah : 19

And those who have believed in AllŒh and His messengers those are [in the ranks of] the supporters of truth and the martyrs, with their Lord. For them is their reward and their light.[1] But those who have disbelieved and denied Our verses those are the companions of Hellfire.

1- Another accepted meaning is "And those who have believed in AllŒh and His messengers they are the supporters of truth. And the martyrs, with their Lord, will have their reward and their light."
