One of the qualities of believers is truthfulness: (Among the believers are men true to what they promised Allah), truthfulness is also the path to attain piety ...
One of the qualities of believers is truthfulness: (Among the believers are men true to what they promised Allah), truthfulness is also the path to attain piety, (Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous.) When the Muslim is truthful, he becomes pious and righteous.
So, to be a pious Muslim you have to be truthful to Allah, (if they had been true to Allah, it would have been better for them.)
You will be at ease only when you deal with the truthful people, and you can befriend the truthful people when you are truthful. The Qur’an encourages us to accompany the truthful (O you who have believed, fear Allāh and be with those who are true.)
It is great to do what we have to do, and fulfill the due rights before asking for our own rights, this is the quality of being honest. If you are among (those who are to their trusts and promises attentive), then you among those (who will inherit al-Firdaus “highest part of Paradise.” They will abide therein eternally.)
Allah commands Muslims to return trusts to their rightful owners (Indeed, Allāh commands you to render trusts to whom they are due). When honesty becomes a common trait among people in societies, amiability, kindness, and selfishlessness will prevail.
(And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive), kindness and friendliness in treating people is a reflection of loyalty.
The best of people are those known for being loyal, Allah’s Messenger (Peace Be upon Him) said: (The best of Allah’s servants are those who kindly return rights).
We really need a society of loyal people in all walks of life, so that to regain our status among nations, and to attain pride and honor.
(And then being among those who believed and advised one another to patience and advised one another to compassion.)
Muslims are encouraged to be merciful, a Muslim should be kind and merciful towards others, he should have a sound heart in the way he treats people. If this is fulfilled, cooperation and good manners will spread in the society. The society will be nearer and more deserving of Allah’s mercy. We pray to Allah to bestow mercy upon us.
In order to have safety among individuals in societies, there has to be no envy or hatred. The fruit of instilling tolerance in a society is having sound and kind relationships. The values of kindness and tolerance can be part of the culture, and that way we would live in a peaceful advanced world.
March 15th International Day to Combat Islamophobia
All people know and understand ((that man is the enemy of what he is ignorant of)).
The problem is that there are piles of hatred and resentment against Islam in the world that every fair person would consider quite strange, because there is no logic reason for hatred, and there is nothing in the teachings of Islam or its sacred texts that contradicts the interest of humanity or calls for hatred
The cause of such hatred must be identified to create a solution for it. Allah may guide someone through us.
Hatred drains the energies of people, nations, and civilizations, its bitterness remains for a long time, especially if it is based on deceptive ideas and visions, with religious leaders and cultural rules.
Hatred generates hatred, and there is no way to confront it except by diving to reach the distant roots that produced it, uprooting it and dealing with its effects.
Let us explain Islam to people by asking an important question that we must ask to all people, to try to reach the reasons that made some people hate and fight Islam. This question is: Did Islam encourage hatred?
Whoever reads the Qur’an, ponders on the life of the Prophet, peace be upon him, and listens to his prophetic hadiths, will be certain that Islam considers all people, regardless of their races, lineages, and backgrounds, on the same level of human dignity and freedom.
Allah Almighty says: {And We have certainly honored the children of Adam} and the Holy Qur’an also urges people to commit to forgiveness and tolerance: (Let them pardon and forgive. Do you not love to be forgiven by Allah? And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.) Allah also says: (Do not argue with the People of the Book unless gracefully, except with those of them who act wrongfully)
Allah says:
(Invite ˹all˺ to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and kind advice, and only debate with them in the best manner.)
The Sunnah forbids hatred, envy, and resentment, it was narrated on the authority of Anas - may Allah be pleased with him - that the Prophet - peace be upon him (ﷺ) - said, "Do not desert (stop talking to) one another, do not nurse hatred towards one another, do not be jealous of one another, and become as fellow brothers and slaves of Allah." Indeed,
Islam forbids all forms of hatred, and calls for kindness and compassion.
When the American actor (JK Simmons) won the Academy Award in 2015, he said in his speech, "I hope everyone calls his father and mother, do not send a message on the phone or an e-mail, call them directly and express your love to them."
This was strange to me when I heard it, because in our Islamic culture, everyone must visit his father and mother, calling them only without visiting is considered ungrateful. A weekly visit to the home of the father and mother (or grandfather and grandmother) is an indispensable family ritual in millions of Muslim families.
Before telling you the secret for that, I would like to remind you that even non-religious people are keen on honoring parents, TV dramas and movies about criminals show them kind towards their parents and families in order to make viewers sympathize with them.
The secret is that society has imbibed the concept of honoring one's parents until it has become an integral part of its formation.
In our schools, mosques, and homes, we grow up according to the words of the Prophet, Peace Be upon Him, “Your mother, your mother, your mother, then your father, then the next of kin, then the next of kin.”
We also listen to Allah’s command in the Qur’an: “And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination. (Qur’an: 31: 14)
And other verses and hadiths that the young know before the old, and the immoral people before the moral. What distinguishes Islam from others beliefs is that it does not only affect the soul of the individual believer, it rather changes society and shows in it a reward that does not erase, even if other vices spread.
Therefore, as Muslims, we do not need a day to celebrate mothers, because a major goal of every Muslim from puberty until his death is the contentment of his father and mother.
