Surata: AL‑KĀFIRŪN 

O versículo : 6

لَكُمۡ دِينُكُمۡ وَلِيَ دِينِ

For you is your religion, and for me is my religion."



Surata: AN-NAṢR 

O versículo : 1

إِذَا جَآءَ نَصۡرُ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡفَتۡحُ

When the victory of AllŒh has come and the conquest,[1]


1- The conquest of Makkah.


Surata: AN-NAṢR 

O versículo : 2

وَرَأَيۡتَ ٱلنَّاسَ يَدۡخُلُونَ فِي دِينِ ٱللَّهِ أَفۡوَاجٗا

And you see the people entering into the religion of AllŒh in multitudes,



Surata: AN-NAṢR 

O versículo : 3

فَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡهُۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ تَوَّابَۢا

Then exalt [Him] with praise of your Lord and ask forgiveness of Him. Indeed, He is ever Accepting of Repentance.[1]

Surata: AL‑MASAD 

O versículo : 1

تَبَّتۡ يَدَآ أَبِي لَهَبٖ وَتَبَّ

May the hands of Ab´ Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he.[1]


1- Ab´ Lahab (the Prophet's uncle) , who was an enemy of IslŒm.


Surata: AL‑MASAD 

O versículo : 2

مَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ

His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained.



Surata: AL‑MASAD 

O versículo : 3

سَيَصۡلَىٰ نَارٗا ذَاتَ لَهَبٖ

He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame



Surata: AL‑MASAD 

O versículo : 4

وَٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلۡحَطَبِ

And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood.[1]


1- She used to put thorns in the Prophet's path and slander him (). The word "firewood" was used by the Arabs to allude to slander and backbiting.


Surata: AL‑MASAD 

O versículo : 5

فِي جِيدِهَا حَبۡلٞ مِّن مَّسَدِۭ

Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber.



Surata: AL‑IKHLĀṢ 

O versículo : 1

قُلۡ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ

Say, "He is AllŒh, [who is] One,[1]


1- Alone, without another, indivisible with absolute and permanent unity and distinct from all else. The one and only true deity, unique in His essence, attributes and deeds.


Surata: AL‑IKHLĀṢ 

O versículo : 2

ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ

AllŒh, the Eternal Refuge.[1]


1- He who is absolute, perfect, complete, essential, self-sufficient and sufficient to meet the needs of all creation; the one eternally and constantly required and sought, depended upon by all existence and to whom all matters will ultimately return.


Surata: AL‑IKHLĀṢ 

O versículo : 3

لَمۡ يَلِدۡ وَلَمۡ يُولَدۡ

He neither begets nor is born,



Surata: AL‑IKHLĀṢ 

O versículo : 4

وَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدُۢ

Nor is there to Him any equivalent."



Surata: AL‑FALAQ 

O versículo : 1

قُلۡ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلۡفَلَقِ

Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak



Surata: AL‑FALAQ 

O versículo : 2

مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ

From the evil of that which He created



Surata: AL‑FALAQ 

O versículo : 3

وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ

And from the evil of darkness when it settles



Surata: AL‑FALAQ 

O versículo : 4

وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّـٰثَٰتِ فِي ٱلۡعُقَدِ

And from the evil of the blowers in knots[1]


1- i.e., those who practice magic.


Surata: AL‑FALAQ 

O versículo : 5

وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ

And from the evil of an envier when he envies."



Surata: AN-NĀS

O versículo : 1

قُلۡ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلنَّاسِ

Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,



Surata: AN-NĀS

O versículo : 2

مَلِكِ ٱلنَّاسِ

The Sovereign of mankind,



Surata: AN-NĀS

O versículo : 3

إِلَٰهِ ٱلنَّاسِ

The God of mankind,



Surata: AN-NĀS

O versículo : 4

مِن شَرِّ ٱلۡوَسۡوَاسِ ٱلۡخَنَّاسِ

From the evil of the retreating whisperer[1] -


1- i.e., a devil who makes evil suggestions to man but disappears when one remembers AllŒh.


Surata: AN-NĀS

O versículo : 5

ٱلَّذِي يُوَسۡوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ ٱلنَّاسِ

Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind -



Surata: AN-NĀS

O versículo : 6

مِنَ ٱلۡجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ

From among the jinn and mankind".[1]


1- Evil prompters may be from men as well as from jinn.
