Surata: AL‑ISRĀ’

O versículo : 81

And say, "Truth has come, and falsehood has departed. Indeed is falsehood, [by nature], ever bound to depart."

Surata: MARYAM

O versículo : 42

[Mention] when he said to his father, "O my father, why do you worship that which does not hear and does not see and will not benefit you at all?

Surata: MARYAM

O versículo : 81

And they have taken besides AllŒh [false] deities that they would be for them [a source of] honor.

Surata: MARYAM

O versículo : 82

No! They [i.e., those "gods"] will deny their worship of them and will be against them opponents [on the Day of Judgement].

Surata: ṬĀ HĀ

O versículo : 61

Moses said to them [i.e., the magicians summoned by Pharaoh], "Woe to you! Do not invent a lie against AllŒh or He will exterminate you with a punishment; and he has failed who invents [such falsehood]."

Surata: ṬĀ HĀ

O versículo : 88

And he extracted for them [the statue of] a calf which had a lowing sound, and they said, "This is your god and the god of Moses, but he forgot."

Surata: ṬĀ HĀ

O versículo : 89

Did they not see that it could not return to them any speech [i.e., response] and that it did not possess for them any harm or benefit?

Surata: AL‑ANBIYĀ’

O versículo : 18

Rather, We dash the truth upon falsehood, and it destroys it,[1] and thereupon it departs. And for you is destruction from that which you describe.[2]

1- Literally, "strikes its brain," disabling or killing it.
2- Of untruth concerning AllŒh, particularly here, the claim that He has a son or other "partner" in divinity.

Surata: AL‑ANBIYĀ’

O versículo : 21

Or have they [i.e., men] taken for themselves gods from the earth who resurrect [the dead]?

Surata: AL‑ANBIYĀ’

O versículo : 22

Had there been within them [i.e., the heavens and earth] gods besides AllŒh, they both would have been ruined. So exalted is AllŒh, Lord of the Throne, above what they describe.

Surata: AL‑ANBIYĀ’

O versículo : 24

Or have they taken gods besides Him? Say, [O Muúammad], "Produce your proof. This [QurÕŒn] is the message for those with me and the message of those before me."[1] But most of them do not know the truth, so they are turning away.

1- All previous prophets called for the worship of AllŒh alone.

Surata: AL‑ANBIYĀ’

O versículo : 25

And We sent not before you any messenger except We revealed to him that, "There is no deity except Me, so worship Me."

Surata: AL‑ANBIYĀ’

O versículo : 26

And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken a son." Exalted is He! Rather, they[1] are [but] honored servants.

1- Those they claim to be "children" of AllŒh, such as the angels, Ezra, Jesus, etc.

Surata: AL‑ANBIYĀ’

O versículo : 29

And whoever of them should say, "Indeed, I am a god besides Him" that one We would recompense with Hell. Thus do We recompense the wrongdoers.

Surata: AL‑ANBIYĀ’

O versículo : 43

Or do they have gods to defend them other than Us? They are unable [even] to help themselves, nor can they be protected from Us.

Surata: AL‑ANBIYĀ’

O versículo : 52

When he said to his father and his people, "What are these statues to which you are devoted?"

Surata: AL‑ANBIYĀ’

O versículo : 53

They said, "We found our fathers worshippers of them."

Surata: AL‑ANBIYĀ’

O versículo : 54

He said, "You were certainly, you and your fathers, in manifest error."

Surata: AL‑ANBIYĀ’

O versículo : 65

Then they reversed themselves,[1] [saying], "You have already known that these do not speak!"

1- After first admitting their error, they were seized by pride and obstinacy.

Surata: AL‑ANBIYĀ’

O versículo : 66

He said, "Then do you worship instead of AllŒh that which does not benefit you at all or harm you?

Surata: AL‑ANBIYĀ’

O versículo : 98

Indeed, you [disbelievers] and what you worship other than AllŒh are the firewood of Hell. You will be coming to [enter] it.

Surata: AL‑ANBIYĀ’

O versículo : 99

Had these [false deities] been [actual] gods, they would not have come to it, but all are eternal therein.

Surata: AL‑ḤAJJ

O versículo : 12

He invokes instead of AllŒh that which neither harms him nor benefits him. That is what is the extreme error.

Surata: AL‑ḤAJJ

O versículo : 13

He invokes one whose harm is closer than his benefit how wretched the protector and how wretched the associate.

Surata: AL‑ḤAJJ

O versículo : 62

That is because AllŒh is the True Reality, and that which they call upon other than Him is falsehood, and because AllŒh is the Most High, the Grand.

Surata: AL‑FURQĀN

O versículo : 3

But they have taken besides Him gods which create nothing, while they are created, and possess not for themselves any harm or benefit and possess not [power to cause] death or life or resurrection.

Surata: AL‑FURQĀN

O versículo : 43

Have you seen the one who takes as his god his own desire? Then would you be responsible for him?

Surata: AL‑QAṢAṢ

O versículo : 38

And Pharaoh said, "O eminent ones, I have not known you to have a god other than me. Then ignite for me, O HŒmŒn, [a fire] upon the clay[1] and make for me a tower that I may look at the God of Moses. And indeed, I do think he is among the liars."

1- From which bricks are made.

Surata: AL‑QAṢAṢ

O versículo : 62

And [warn of] the Day He will call them and say, "Where are My 'partners' which you used to claim?"

Surata: AL‑QAṢAṢ

O versículo : 63

Those upon whom the word[1] will have come into effect will say, "Our Lord, these are the ones we led to error. We led them to error just as we were in error. We declare our disassociation [from them] to You. They did not used to worship [i.e., obey] us."[2]

1- The decree for their punishment.
2- i.e., We did not compel them, and they did not obey us; instead, they obeyed their own desires and inclinations.
