Surata: AL‑A‘RĀF

O versículo : 54

Indeed, your Lord is AllŒh, who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne.[1] He covers the night with the day, [another night] chasing it rapidly; and [He created] the sun, the moon, and the stars, subjected by His command. Unquestionably, His is the creation and the command; blessed is AllŒh, Lord of the worlds.

1- There are several linguistic meanings of the words "istawŒ ÔalŒ," among them: to settle upon, to assume ascendancy above, and to assert authority over. However, it is known that all the attributes of AllŒh are eternal, i.e., they have always existed and were present before He created. Thus, it cannot be said that He "rose" above the Throne, as AllŒh has always been ascendant. Because the Creator may not be compared to His creation, the Prophet's companions and early scholars refused speculation as to how His actions could be interpreted, considering any such attempt unlawful. Similarly, the true nature of the Throne is known only to AllŒh, the Exalted.

Surata: HŪD

O versículo : 7

And it is He who created the heavens and the earth in six days and His Throne had been upon water that He might test you as to which of you is best in deed. But if you say, "Indeed, you are resurrected after death," those who disbelieve will surely say, "This is not but obvious magic."

Surata: AL‑‘ANKABŪT

O versículo : 44

He created the heavens and earth in truth. He wraps the night over the day and wraps the day over the night and has subjected the sun and the moon, each running [its course] for a specified term. Unquestionably, He is the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver.[1]

1- Refer to footnotes in 38:66.

Surata: GHĀFIR

And He placed on it [i.e., the earth] firmly set mountains over its surface, and He blessed it and determined therein its [creatures'] sustenance in four days without distinction[1] for [the information of] those who ask.

1- Also "four equal days" or "four days of completion."

It is AllŒh who has created seven heavens and of the earth, the like of them.[1] [His] command descends among them so you may know that AllŒh is over all things competent and that AllŒh has encompassed all things in knowledge.

1- i.e., a similar number: seven.
