And when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul,[1] then fall down to him in prostration."
1- The element of life and soul which AllŒh created for that body, not His own spirit or part of Himself (as some mistakenly believe).
And they ask you, [O Muúammad], about the soul. Say, "The soul is of the affair [i.e., concern] of my Lord. And you [i.e., mankind] have not been given of knowledge except a little."
Then He proportioned him and breathed into him from His [created] soul[1] and made for you hearing and vision and hearts [i.e., intellect]; little are you grateful.
1- i.e., element of life. See footnote to 15:29.
So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul,[1] then fall down to him in prostration."
1- See footnote to 15:29.
