Surata: AL‑BAQARAH

O versículo : 255

AllŒh there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living,[1] the Self-Sustaining.[2] Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them,[3] and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kurs¥[4] extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High,[5] the Most Great.[6]

1- Whose life is perfect, complete and eternal, without beginning or end, and through whom all created life originated and continues.
2- Dependent on none for His existence while being the sustainer and administrator of all created existence.
3- AllŒh's knowledge encompasses every aspect of His creations in the past, present and future.
4- Chair or footstool. It is not to be confused with al-ÔArsh (the Throne) , which is infinitely higher and greater than al-Kurs¥.
5- Above all of His creations and superior to them in essence, rank and position.
6- Whose greatness is unlimited, beyond description or imagination.

Surata: ĀLI ‘IMRĀN

O versículo : 2

AllŒh there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining.[1]

1-Whose life is perfect, complete and eternal, without beginning or end, and through whom all created life originated and continues

Surata: ĀLI ‘IMRĀN

O versículo : 180

And let not those who [greedily] withhold what AllŒh has given them of His bounty ever think that it is better for them. Rather, it is worse for them. Their necks will be encircled by what they withheld on the Day of Resurrection. And to AllŒh belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. And AllŒh, of what you do, is [fully] Aware.

Surata: AL‑ḤIJR

O versículo : 23

And indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and We are the Inheritor.[1]

1- AllŒh (subúŒnahu wa taÔŒlŒ) remains after all creation has passed away.

Surata: MARYAM

O versículo : 40

Indeed, it is We who will inherit the earth and whoever is on it, and to Us they will be returned.

Surata: MARYAM

O versículo : 80

And We will inherit him [in] what he mentions,[1] and he will come to Us alone.

1- Instead of giving him wealth and children in the Hereafter, AllŒh will take from him those he had in worldly life at the time of his death.

Surata: ṬĀ HĀ

O versículo : 111

And [all] faces will be humbled before the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining.[1] And he will have failed who carries injustice.[2]

1- See footnotes to 2:255.
2- i.e., sin or wrongdoing towards AllŒh or any of His creation.

Surata: AL‑FURQĀN

O versículo : 58

And rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die, and exalt [AllŒh] with His praise. And sufficient is He to be, with the sins of His servants, [fully] Aware

Surata: AL‑QAṢAṢ

O versículo : 58

And how many a city have We destroyed that was insolent in its [way of] living, and those are their dwellings which have not been inhabited after them except briefly.[1] And it is We who were the inheritors.

1- By travelers seeking temporary shelter. The reference is to the ruins which were visible to the Quraysh during their journeys.

Surata: AL‑QAṢAṢ

O versículo : 88

And do not invoke with AllŒh another deity. There is no deity except Him. Everything will be destroyed except His Face.[1] His is the judgement, and to Him you will be returned.

1- i.e., except Himself.

Surata: GHĀFIR

O versículo : 65

He is the Ever-Living;[1] there is no deity except Him, so call upon Him, [being] sincere to Him in religion. [All] praise is [due] to AllŒh, Lord of the worlds.

1- Whose life is without beginning or end, and upon whom all created life depends.

Surata: AR-RAḤMĀN

O versículo : 27

And there will remain the Face[1] of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.

1- See footnote to 2:19.

Surata: AL‑ḤADEED

O versículo : 10

And why do you not spend in the cause of AllŒh while to AllŒh belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Not equal among you are those who spent before the conquest [of Makkah] and fought [and those who did so after it]. Those are greater in degree than they who spent afterwards and fought. But to all AllŒh has promised the best [reward]. And AllŒh, of what you do, is Aware.
