Capítulo: AZ-ZUKHRUF 

Verso : 71

يُطَافُ عَلَيۡهِم بِصِحَافٖ مِّن ذَهَبٖ وَأَكۡوَابٖۖ وَفِيهَا مَا تَشۡتَهِيهِ ٱلۡأَنفُسُ وَتَلَذُّ ٱلۡأَعۡيُنُۖ وَأَنتُمۡ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ

Circulated among them will be plates and vessels of gold. And therein is whatever the souls desire and [what] delights the eyes, and you will abide therein eternally.



Capítulo: AL‑JĀTHIYAH 

Verso : 22

وَخَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَلِتُجۡزَىٰ كُلُّ نَفۡسِۭ بِمَا كَسَبَتۡ وَهُمۡ لَا يُظۡلَمُونَ

And AllŒh created the heavens and earth in truth and so that every soul may be recompensed for what it has earned, and they will not be wronged.



Capítulo: QĀF  

Verso : 21

وَجَآءَتۡ كُلُّ نَفۡسٖ مَّعَهَا سَآئِقٞ وَشَهِيدٞ

And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness.[1]


1- i.e., one angel driving the soul to the Judgement and one to testify as to its deeds.


Capítulo: QĀF  

Verso : 22

لَّقَدۡ كُنتَ فِي غَفۡلَةٖ مِّنۡ هَٰذَا فَكَشَفۡنَا عَنكَ غِطَآءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ حَدِيدٞ

[It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover,[1] so your sight, this Day, is sharp."


1- Of heedlessness, or that which had sealed your hearing, your vision and your heart from guidance.


Capítulo: AṬ-ṬŪR 

Verso : 21

وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَٱتَّبَعَتۡهُمۡ ذُرِّيَّتُهُم بِإِيمَٰنٍ أَلۡحَقۡنَا بِهِمۡ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمۡ وَمَآ أَلَتۡنَٰهُم مِّنۡ عَمَلِهِم مِّن شَيۡءٖۚ كُلُّ ٱمۡرِيِٕۭ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينٞ

And those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith We will join with them their descendants, and We will not deprive them of anything of their deeds.[1] Every person, for what he earned, is retained.[2]


1- i.e., the reward thereof.
2- i.e., subject or held responsible. Literally, "a hostage."


Capítulo: AL‑MUDDATHTHIR 

Verso : 38

كُلُّ نَفۡسِۭ بِمَا كَسَبَتۡ رَهِينَةٌ

Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained[1].


1- i.e., subject or held responsible.


Capítulo: AT-TAKWEER 

Verso : 14

عَلِمَتۡ نَفۡسٞ مَّآ أَحۡضَرَتۡ

A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it].[1]


1- i.e., all of one's deeds from worldly life, which have accompanied the soul to the Hereafter.


Capítulo: AL‑INFIṬĀR 

Verso : 5

عَلِمَتۡ نَفۡسٞ مَّا قَدَّمَتۡ وَأَخَّرَتۡ

A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back.



Capítulo: AL‑FAJR 

Verso : 27

يَـٰٓأَيَّتُهَا ٱلنَّفۡسُ ٱلۡمُطۡمَئِنَّةُ

[To the righteous it will be said], "O reassured soul,
