Capítulo: QĀF  

Verso : 45

نَّحۡنُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَۖ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيۡهِم بِجَبَّارٖۖ فَذَكِّرۡ بِٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ مَن يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ

We are most knowing of what they say, and you are not over them a tyrant.[1] But remind by the QurÕŒn whoever fears My threat.


1- Forcing people to belief or submission.


Capítulo: ADH-DHĀRIYĀT 

Verso : 55

وَذَكِّرۡ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers.



Capítulo: AṬ-ṬŪR 

Verso : 48

وَٱصۡبِرۡ لِحُكۡمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعۡيُنِنَاۖ وَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ

And be patient, [O Muúammad], for the decision of your Lord, for indeed, you are in Our eyes [i.e., sight]. And exalt [AllŒh] with praise of your Lord when you arise



Capítulo: AṬ-ṬŪR 

Verso : 49

وَمِنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ فَسَبِّحۡهُ وَإِدۡبَٰرَ ٱلنُّجُومِ

And in a part of the night exalt Him and after [the setting of] the stars.



Capítulo: AL‑MUMTAḤINAH 

Verso : 12

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِيُّ إِذَا جَآءَكَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتُ يُبَايِعۡنَكَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن لَّا يُشۡرِكۡنَ بِٱللَّهِ شَيۡـٔٗا وَلَا يَسۡرِقۡنَ وَلَا يَزۡنِينَ وَلَا يَقۡتُلۡنَ أَوۡلَٰدَهُنَّ وَلَا يَأۡتِينَ بِبُهۡتَٰنٖ يَفۡتَرِينَهُۥ بَيۡنَ أَيۡدِيهِنَّ وَأَرۡجُلِهِنَّ وَلَا يَعۡصِينَكَ فِي مَعۡرُوفٖ فَبَايِعۡهُنَّ وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَهُنَّ ٱللَّهَۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ

O Prophet, when the believing women come to you pledging to you that they will not associate anything with AllŒh, nor will they steal, nor will they commit unlawful sexual intercourse, nor will they kill their children, nor will they bring forth a slander they have invented between their arms and legs,[1] nor will they disobey you in what is right then accept their pledge and ask forgiveness for them of AllŒh. Indeed, AllŒh is Forgiving and Merciful.


1- This is an allusion to pregnancy and childbirth, i.e., to falsely attribute a child (whether adopted or born of adultery) to a woman's husband.


Capítulo: AT-TAGHĀBUN 

Verso : 12

وَأَطِيعُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُواْ ٱلرَّسُولَۚ فَإِن تَوَلَّيۡتُمۡ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَىٰ رَسُولِنَا ٱلۡبَلَٰغُ ٱلۡمُبِينُ

And obey AllŒh and obey the Messenger; but if you turn away then upon Our Messenger is only [the duty of] clear notification.



Capítulo: AT-TAḤREEM 

Verso : 9

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِيُّ جَٰهِدِ ٱلۡكُفَّارَ وَٱلۡمُنَٰفِقِينَ وَٱغۡلُظۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡۚ وَمَأۡوَىٰهُمۡ جَهَنَّمُۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ

O Prophet, strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites and be harsh upon them. And their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the destination.



Capítulo: AL‑JINN 

Verso : 23

إِلَّا بَلَٰغٗا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِسَٰلَٰتِهِۦۚ وَمَن يَعۡصِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًا

But [I have for you] only notification from AllŒh, and His messages." And whoever disobeys AllŒh and His Messenger then indeed, for him is the fire of Hell; they will abide therein forever.



Capítulo: AL‑MUZZAMMIL 

Verso : 1

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡمُزَّمِّلُ

O you who wraps himself [in clothing][1]


1- AllŒh (subúŒnahu wa taÔŒlŒ) addresses the Prophet (), who was asleep, wrapped in his garments.


Capítulo: AL‑MUZZAMMIL 

Verso : 2

قُمِ ٱلَّيۡلَ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا

Arise [to pray] the night, except for a little



Capítulo: AL‑MUZZAMMIL 

Verso : 3

نِّصۡفَهُۥٓ أَوِ ٱنقُصۡ مِنۡهُ قَلِيلًا

Half of it or subtract from it a little



Capítulo: AL‑MUZZAMMIL 

Verso : 4

أَوۡ زِدۡ عَلَيۡهِ وَرَتِّلِ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ تَرۡتِيلًا

Or add to it, and recite the QurÕŒn with measured recitation.



Capítulo: AL‑MUZZAMMIL 

Verso : 7

إِنَّ لَكَ فِي ٱلنَّهَارِ سَبۡحٗا طَوِيلٗا

Indeed, for you by day is prolonged occupation.



Capítulo: AL‑MUZZAMMIL 

Verso : 8

وَٱذۡكُرِ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّكَ وَتَبَتَّلۡ إِلَيۡهِ تَبۡتِيلٗا

And remember the name of your Lord and devote yourself to Him with [complete] devotion.



Capítulo: AL‑MUZZAMMIL 

Verso : 10

وَٱصۡبِرۡ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَٱهۡجُرۡهُمۡ هَجۡرٗا جَمِيلٗا

And be patient over what they say and avoid them with gracious avoidance.



Capítulo: AL‑MUDDATHTHIR 

Verso : 1

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡمُدَّثِّرُ

O you who covers himself [with a garment],[1]


1- Referring to the Prophet ().


Capítulo: AL‑MUDDATHTHIR 

Verso : 2

قُمۡ فَأَنذِرۡ

Arise and warn.



Capítulo: AL‑MUDDATHTHIR 

Verso : 3

وَرَبَّكَ فَكَبِّرۡ

And your Lord glorify.



Capítulo: AL‑MUDDATHTHIR 

Verso : 4

وَثِيَابَكَ فَطَهِّرۡ

And your clothing purify.



Capítulo: AL‑MUDDATHTHIR 

Verso : 5

وَٱلرُّجۡزَ فَٱهۡجُرۡ

And uncleanliness[1] avoid.


1- Specifically, idols or generally, bad conduct and morals.


Capítulo: AL‑MUDDATHTHIR 

Verso : 6

وَلَا تَمۡنُن تَسۡتَكۡثِرُ

And do not confer favor to acquire more[1].


1- An alternative meaning is "Do not consider any favor you have conferred to be great."


Capítulo: AL‑MUDDATHTHIR 

Verso : 7

وَلِرَبِّكَ فَٱصۡبِرۡ

But for your Lord be patient.



Capítulo: AL‑QIYĀMAH 

Verso : 16

لَا تُحَرِّكۡ بِهِۦ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعۡجَلَ بِهِۦٓ

Move not your tongue with it, [O Muúammad], to hasten with it [i.e., recitation of the QurÕŒn].



Capítulo: AL‑QIYĀMAH 

Verso : 17

إِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا جَمۡعَهُۥ وَقُرۡءَانَهُۥ

Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation.



Capítulo: AL‑QIYĀMAH 

Verso : 18

فَإِذَا قَرَأۡنَٰهُ فَٱتَّبِعۡ قُرۡءَانَهُۥ

So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation.



Capítulo: AL‑QIYĀMAH 

Verso : 19

ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا بَيَانَهُۥ

Then upon Us is its clarification [to you].



Capítulo: AL‑INSĀN 

Verso : 24

فَٱصۡبِرۡ لِحُكۡمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تُطِعۡ مِنۡهُمۡ ءَاثِمًا أَوۡ كَفُورٗا

So be patient for the decision of your Lord and do not obey from among them a sinner or ungrateful [disbeliever].



Capítulo: AL‑INSĀN 

Verso : 25

وَٱذۡكُرِ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّكَ بُكۡرَةٗ وَأَصِيلٗا

And mention the name of your Lord [in prayer] morning and evening



Capítulo: AL‑INSĀN 

Verso : 26

وَمِنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ فَٱسۡجُدۡ لَهُۥ وَسَبِّحۡهُ لَيۡلٗا طَوِيلًا

And during the night prostrate to Him and exalt [i.e., praise] Him a long [part of the] night.



Capítulo: AL‑A‘LĀ 

Verso : 9

فَذَكِّرۡ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ

So remind, if the reminder should benefit;[1]


1- i.e., wherever it will be heard and understood.
