Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 17

وَمَا تِلۡكَ بِيَمِينِكَ يَٰمُوسَىٰ

And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?"



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 18

قَالَ هِيَ عَصَايَ أَتَوَكَّؤُاْ عَلَيۡهَا وَأَهُشُّ بِهَا عَلَىٰ غَنَمِي وَلِيَ فِيهَا مَـَٔارِبُ أُخۡرَىٰ

He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses."



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 19

قَالَ أَلۡقِهَا يَٰمُوسَىٰ

[AllŒh] said, "Throw it down, O Moses."



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 20

فَأَلۡقَىٰهَا فَإِذَا هِيَ حَيَّةٞ تَسۡعَىٰ

So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly.



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 21

قَالَ خُذۡهَا وَلَا تَخَفۡۖ سَنُعِيدُهَا سِيرَتَهَا ٱلۡأُولَىٰ

[AllŒh] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition.



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 22

وَٱضۡمُمۡ يَدَكَ إِلَىٰ جَنَاحِكَ تَخۡرُجۡ بَيۡضَآءَ مِنۡ غَيۡرِ سُوٓءٍ ءَايَةً أُخۡرَىٰ

And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease another sign,



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 23

لِنُرِيَكَ مِنۡ ءَايَٰتِنَا ٱلۡكُبۡرَى

That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs.



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 24

ٱذۡهَبۡ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ

Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed [i.e., tyrannized]."



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 25

قَالَ رَبِّ ٱشۡرَحۡ لِي صَدۡرِي

[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand [i.e., relax] for me my breast [with assurance]



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 26

وَيَسِّرۡ لِيٓ أَمۡرِي

And ease for me my task



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 27

وَٱحۡلُلۡ عُقۡدَةٗ مِّن لِّسَانِي

And untie the knot from my tongue



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 28

يَفۡقَهُواْ قَوۡلِي

That they may understand my speech.



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 29

وَٱجۡعَل لِّي وَزِيرٗا مِّنۡ أَهۡلِي

And appoint for me a minister [i.e., assistant] from my family



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 30

هَٰرُونَ أَخِي

Aaron, my brother.



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 31

ٱشۡدُدۡ بِهِۦٓ أَزۡرِي

Increase through him my strength



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 32

وَأَشۡرِكۡهُ فِيٓ أَمۡرِي

And let him share my task



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 33

كَيۡ نُسَبِّحَكَ كَثِيرٗا

That we may exalt You much



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 34

وَنَذۡكُرَكَ كَثِيرًا

And remember You much.



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 35

إِنَّكَ كُنتَ بِنَا بَصِيرٗا

Indeed, You are of us ever Seeing."



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 36

قَالَ قَدۡ أُوتِيتَ سُؤۡلَكَ يَٰمُوسَىٰ

[AllŒh] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses.



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 37

وَلَقَدۡ مَنَنَّا عَلَيۡكَ مَرَّةً أُخۡرَىٰٓ

And We had already conferred favor upon you another time,



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 38

إِذۡ أَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّكَ مَا يُوحَىٰٓ

When We inspired to your mother what We inspired,



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 39

أَنِ ٱقۡذِفِيهِ فِي ٱلتَّابُوتِ فَٱقۡذِفِيهِ فِي ٱلۡيَمِّ فَلۡيُلۡقِهِ ٱلۡيَمُّ بِٱلسَّاحِلِ يَأۡخُذۡهُ عَدُوّٞ لِّي وَعَدُوّٞ لَّهُۥۚ وَأَلۡقَيۡتُ عَلَيۡكَ مَحَبَّةٗ مِّنِّي وَلِتُصۡنَعَ عَلَىٰ عَيۡنِيٓ

[Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me[1] that you would be brought up under My eye [i.e., observation and care].


1- AllŒh put love of Moses into the hearts of the people.


Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 40

إِذۡ تَمۡشِيٓ أُخۡتُكَ فَتَقُولُ هَلۡ أَدُلُّكُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَن يَكۡفُلُهُۥۖ فَرَجَعۡنَٰكَ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّكَ كَيۡ تَقَرَّ عَيۡنُهَا وَلَا تَحۡزَنَۚ وَقَتَلۡتَ نَفۡسٗا فَنَجَّيۡنَٰكَ مِنَ ٱلۡغَمِّ وَفَتَنَّـٰكَ فُتُونٗاۚ فَلَبِثۡتَ سِنِينَ فِيٓ أَهۡلِ مَدۡيَنَ ثُمَّ جِئۡتَ عَلَىٰ قَدَرٖ يَٰمُوسَىٰ

[And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone,[1] but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses.


1- The Copt who died after being struck by Moses.


Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 41

وَٱصۡطَنَعۡتُكَ لِنَفۡسِي

And I produced you for Myself.[1]


1- AllŒh had already selected Moses and made him strong in body and character according to the requirements of his mission.


Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 42

ٱذۡهَبۡ أَنتَ وَأَخُوكَ بِـَٔايَٰتِي وَلَا تَنِيَا فِي ذِكۡرِي

Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance.



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 43

ٱذۡهَبَآ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ

Go, both of you, to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed.



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 44

فَقُولَا لَهُۥ قَوۡلٗا لَّيِّنٗا لَّعَلَّهُۥ يَتَذَكَّرُ أَوۡ يَخۡشَىٰ

And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [AllŒh]."



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 45

قَالَا رَبَّنَآ إِنَّنَا نَخَافُ أَن يَفۡرُطَ عَلَيۡنَآ أَوۡ أَن يَطۡغَىٰ

They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress."



Sourate: ṬĀ HĀ 

Verset : 46

قَالَ لَا تَخَافَآۖ إِنَّنِي مَعَكُمَآ أَسۡمَعُ وَأَرَىٰ

[AllŒh] said, "Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see.
