Sourate: AL‑AḤZĀB

Verset : 34

And remember what is recited in your houses of the verses of AllŒh and wisdom.[1] Indeed, AllŒh is ever Subtle[2] and Aware.

1- The teachings of the Prophet () or his sunnah.
2- Refer to footnote of 6:103.

Sourate: SABA’

Verset : 6

And those who have been given knowledge see that what is revealed to you from your Lord is the truth, and it guides to the path of the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy.

Sourate: SABA’

Verset : 31

And those who disbelieve say, "We will never believe in this QurÕŒn nor in that before it." But if you could see when the wrongdoers are made to stand before their Lord, refuting each others' words...[1] Those who were oppressed will say to those who were arrogant, "If not for you, we would have been believers."

1- Having been left to the imagination, the conclusion of this sentence is estimated to be "...you would see a dreadful sight."

Sourate: SABA’

Verset : 43

And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, they say, "This is not but a man who wishes to avert you from that which your fathers were worshipping." And they say, "This is not except a lie invented." And those who disbelieve say of the truth when it has come to them, "This is not but obvious magic."

Sourate: FĀṬIR

Verset : 29

Indeed, those who recite the Book of AllŒh and establish prayer and spend [in His cause] out of what We have provided them, secretly and publicly, [can] expect a transaction [i.e., profit] that will never perish

Sourate: FĀṬIR

Verset : 31

And that which We have revealed to you, [O Muúammad], of the Book is the truth, confirming what was before it. Indeed AllŒh, of His servants, is Aware and Seeing.

Sourate: YĀ SEEN

Verset : 5

[This is] a revelation of the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,

Sourate: ṢĀD

Verset : 29

[This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muúammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded.

Sourate: AZ-ZUMAR

Verset : 1

The revelation of the Book [i.e., the QurÕŒn] is from AllŒh, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

Sourate: AZ-ZUMAR

Verset : 2

Indeed, We have sent down to you the Book, [O Muúammad], in truth. So worship AllŒh, [being] sincere to Him in religion.

Sourate: AZ-ZUMAR

Verset : 23

AllŒh has sent down the best statement: a consistent Book wherein is reiteration. The skins shiver therefrom of those who fear their Lord; then their skins and their hearts relax at the remembrance [i.e., mention] of AllŒh. That is the guidance of AllŒh by which He guides whom He wills. And one whom AllŒh sends astray for him there is no guide.

Sourate: AZ-ZUMAR

Verset : 41

Indeed, We sent down to you the Book for the people in truth. So whoever is guided it is for [the benefit of] his soul; and whoever goes astray only goes astray to its detriment. And you are not a manager [i.e., authority] over them.

Sourate: GHĀFIR

Verset : 2

The revelation of the Book [i.e., the QurÕŒn] is from AllŒh, the Exalted in Might, the Knowing,

Sourate: FUṢṢILAT

Verset : 2

[This is] a revelation from the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Sourate: FUṢṢILAT

Verset : 3

A Book whose verses have been detailed, an Arabic QurÕŒn[1] for a people who know,

1- i.e., revealed in the Arabic language.

Sourate: FUṢṢILAT

Verset : 4

As a giver of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear.

Sourate: FUṢṢILAT

Verset : 26

And those who disbelieve say, "Do not listen to this QurÕŒn and speak noisily[1] during [the recitation of] it that perhaps you will overcome."

1- Other meanings include "speak improperly" and/or "make a clamor." The purpose of this was to prevent the hearing or understanding of the QurÕŒn.

Sourate: FUṢṢILAT

Verset : 41

Indeed, those who disbelieve in the message [i.e., the QurÕŒn][1] after it has come to them...[2] And indeed, it is a mighty[3] Book.

1- i.e., reject it or prefer deviant interpretation.
2- The conclusion is understood to be "...will have earned an indescribable punishment."
3- Inimitable, resistant to attack, protected by AllŒh.

Sourate: FUṢṢILAT

Verset : 42

Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it; [it is] a revelation from a [Lord who is] Wise and Praiseworthy.

Sourate: FUṢṢILAT

Verset : 44

And if We had made it a foreign [i.e., non-Arabic] QurÕŒn, they would have said, "Why are its verses not explained in detail [in our language]? Is it a foreign [recitation] and an Arab [messenger]?" Say, "It is, for those who believe, a guidance and cure." And those who do not believe in their ears is deafness, and it is upon them blindness. Those are being called from a distant place.[1]

1- For all practical purposes, since they neither hear nor understand.

Sourate: ASH-SHŪRĀ

Verset : 17

It is AllŒh who has sent down the Book in truth and [also] the balance [i.e., justice]. And what will make you perceive? Perhaps the Hour is near.

Sourate: ASH-SHŪRĀ

Verset : 52

And thus We have revealed to you an inspiration of Our command [i.e., the QurÕŒn]. You did not know what is the Book or [what is] faith, but We have made it a light by which We guide whom We will of Our servants. And indeed, [O Muúammad], you guide to a straight path

Sourate: AZ-ZUKHRUF

Verset : 1

By the clear Book,

Sourate: AZ-ZUKHRUF

Verset : 3

Indeed, We have made it an Arabic QurÕŒn that you might understand.

Sourate: AZ-ZUKHRUF

Verset : 4

And indeed it is, in the Mother of the Book[1] with Us, exalted and full of wisdom.[2]

1- i.e., the Preserved Slate (al-Lawú al-Maúf´th).
2- Also, "precise" or "specific."

Sourate: AZ-ZUKHRUF

Verset : 31

And they said, "Why was this QurÕŒn not sent down upon a great man from [one of] the two cities?"[1]

1- Referring to Makkah and a‹-$ŒÕif.

Sourate: AD-DUKHĀN

Indeed, We sent it down during a blessed night.[1] Indeed, We were to warn [mankind].

1- The Night of Decree (Qadr). See s´rah 97.

Sourate: AL‑JĀTHIYAH
