The methodology of Abraham in calling to Allah
And mention in the Book [the story of] Abraham. Indeed, he was a man of truth and a prophet.
[Mention] when he said to his father, "O my father, why do you worship that which does not hear and does not see and will not benefit you at all?
O my father, indeed there has come to me of knowledge that which has not come to you, so follow me; I will guide you to an even path.
O my father, indeed I fear that there will touch you a punishment from the Most Merciful so you would be to Satan a companion [in Hellfire]."

Circumambulating arround the Ka`ba is followed by offering two units of prayer. It is recommended to offer this prayer after the standing place of Abraham towars the Ka`ba direction.
Abraham, may Allah exalt his mention, is a role model.
Allah made Abraham a role model for the beleivers because he fulfilled the obligations of Allah and passed the tests sucessfuly. However, the wrongdower of his posterity will not be a model to be followd by the beleivers.
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { And [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham was tried by his Lord with words [i.e., commands] and he fulfilled them. [Allah] said, "Indeed, I will make you a leader for the people." [Abraham] said, "And of my descendants?" [Allah] said, "My covenant does not include the wrongdoers." } Quran ( 2 : 124 )

How did Allah respond to the supplication of Abraham?
Abraham asked his Lord to provide for the believers of the holy land, Allah responded to his supplication. Moreover, Allah promised to provide all the inhabitants of the holy land both the believes and the unbelievers.
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { And [mention] when Abraham said, "My Lord, make this a secure city and provide its people with fruits – whoever of them believes in Allah and the Last Day." [Allah] said, "And whoever disbelieves – I will grant him enjoyment for a little; then I will force him to the punishment of the Fire, and wretched is the destination." } Quran ( 2 : 126 )

Abraham and his son sought the pleasure of Allah by raising the foundations of the house
Allah Almighty assigned Abraham and his son Ishmael to raise the bases of the Sacred House and build it, after they did this act of worship sincerely they supplicated Allah …
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { And [mention] when Abraham was raising the foundations of the House and [with him] Ishmael, [saying], "Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed, You are the Hearing,1 the Knowing.2 } Quran ( 2 : 127 )

The supplication of Muhammed is the same of Abraham
Among the supplications of Abraham and Ishmael, may Allah exalt their mention, is asking Allah to send a messenger to their descendants. Allah responded to them and sent Muhammad, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { Our Lord, and send among them a messenger from themselves who will recite to them Your verses and teach them the Book and wisdom and purify them. Indeed, You are the Exalted in Might,1 the Wise." } Quran ( 2 : 129 )

And Abraham instructed his sons saying: so do not die except while you are Muslims.
Whoever knows the virtue of Abraham – may Allah exalt his mention - should rather not leave his religion that he commanded his children to stick to.
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { And who would be averse to the religion of Abraham except one who makes a fool of himself. And We had chosen him in this world, and indeed he, in the Hereafter, will be among the righteous. When his Lord said to him, "Submit," he said, "I have submitted [in IsLam]1 to the Lord of the worlds." And Abraham instructed his sons [to do the same] and [so did] Jacob, [saying], "O my sons, indeed Allah has chosen for you this religion, so do not die except while you are Muslims." } Quran ( 2 : 130 - 132 )

The true path lies in following the religion of Abraham
Abraham was not of the polytheists. Rather, he followed the religion legislated by Allah i.e. Islam.
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { They say, "Be Jews or Christians [so] you will be guided." Say, "Rather, [we follow] the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth, and he was not of the polytheists."1 } Quran ( 2 : 135 )

In the Quran Allah informed us that Abraham was a Muslim. Is there any one more aware than Allah?!
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { Or do you say that Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Descendants were Jews or Christians? Say, "Are you more knowing or is Allah?" And who is more unjust than one who conceals a testimony1 he has from Allah? And Allah is not unaware of what you do. } Quran ( 2 : 140 )

Abraham debates the king of his time
Abraham taught us how to debate successfully so as to establish the truth and nullify the falsehood.
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { Have you not considered the one who argued with Abraham about his Lord [merely] because Allah had given him kingship? When Abraham said, "My Lord is the one who gives life and causes death," he said, "I give life and cause death." Abraham said, "Indeed, Allah brings up the sun from the east, so bring it up from the west." So the disbeliever was overwhelmed [by astonishment], and Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people. } Quran ( 2 : 258 )

Abraham is chosen by Allah
Allah chose Abraham and favored him over the worlds for he submitted to the command of Allah and embraced Islam.
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { Indeed, Allah chose Adam and Noah and the family of Abraham and the family of Imran over the worlds – } Quran ( 3 : 33 )

Allah denied that Abraham was a Christian or a Jew because both of them descended after the passage of Abraham
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { O People of the Scripture, why do you argue about Abraham while the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed until after him? Then will you not reason? Here you are – those who have argued about that of which you have [some] knowledge, but why do you argue about that of which you have no knowledge? And Allah knows, while you know not. Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was one inclining toward truth, a Muslim [submitting to Allah]. And he was not of the polytheists.1 } Quran ( 3 : 65 - 67 )

Muslims are the most worthy of Abraham
Allah considered the most worthy people of Abraham after his contemporary believers to be Muhammed, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and those who followed him.
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { Indeed, the most worthy of Abraham among the people are those who followed him [in submission to Allah] and this prophet [i.e., Muhammad (^)] and those who believe [in his message]. And Allah is the Ally1 of the believers. } Quran ( 3 : 68 )

Abraham as an intimate friend of Allah
Abraham and Muhammed, may Allah exalt their mention, were among the chosen servants.
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { And who is better in religion than one who submits himself to Allah while being a doer of good and follows the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth? And Allah took Abraham as an intimate friend. } Quran ( 4 : 125 )

Allah showed Abraham the way of realizing the secrets of the universe, in order to infer by this the oneness and greatness of the creator.
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { And thus did We show Abraham the realm of the heavens and the earth that he would be among the certain [in faith]. So when the night covered him [with darkness], he saw a star. He said, "This is my lord."1 But when it set, he said, "I like not those that set [i.e., disappear]." And when he saw the moon rising, he said, "This is my lord." But when it set, he said, "Unless my Lord guides me, I will surely be among the people gone astray." And when he saw the sun rising, he said, "This is my lord; this is greater." But when it set, he said, "O my people, indeed I am free from what you associate with Allah. Indeed, I have turned my face [i.e., self] toward He who created the heavens and the earth, inclining toward truth, and I am not of those who associate others with Allah." } Quran ( 6 : 75 - 79 )

Allah raised the rank of Abraham both in this world and in the Hereafter.
Through knowledge Allah raises the rank of his knowledgeable servant over people, especially the one who applies the knowledge and teaches it, Allah will make him a leader for the righteous people.
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { And that was Our [conclusive] argument which We gave Abraham against his people. We raise by degrees whom We will. Indeed, your Lord is Wise and Knowing. } Quran ( 6 : 83 )

Abraham the generous man
The Angels came to Abraham with the good tidings, and he brought them a roasted calf to show them the true hospitality.
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { And certainly did Our messengers [i.e., angels] come to Abraham with good tidings; they said, "Peace." He said, "Peace," and did not delay in bringing [them] a roasted calf. } Quran ( 11 : 69 )

Among Abraham's morals is that he has a good character, a generous man, and that he restrains his anger.
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { Indeed, Abraham was forbearing, grieving1 and [frequently] returning [to Allah]. } Quran ( 11 : 75 )

Abraham believed in Allah alone before anyone else believed, so he was a righteous leader with honorable qualities, and rewarded him with this noble rank.
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { Indeed, Abraham was a [comprehensive] leader,1 devoutly obedient to Allah, inclining toward truth, and he was not of those who associate others with Allah. [He was] grateful for His favors. He [i.e., Allah] chose him and guided him to a straight path. And We gave him good in this world, and indeed, in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous. } Quran ( 16 : 120 - 122 )

The methodology of Abraham in calling to Allah
Abraham proceeded to call his father kindly to believe in Allah, following the easiest steps, yet he did not succeed. However, he continued to ask Allah to grant him guidance, when his father insisted on disbelieving in Allah, Abraham disassociated himself from his father and the idols.
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { And mention in the Book [the story of] Abraham. Indeed, he was a man of truth and a prophet. [Mention] when he said to his father, "O my father, why do you worship that which does not hear and does not see and will not benefit you at all? O my father, indeed there has come to me of knowledge that which has not come to you, so follow me; I will guide you to an even path. O my father, do not worship [i.e., obey] Satan. Indeed Satan has ever been, to the Most Merciful, disobedient. O my father, indeed I fear that there will touch you a punishment from the Most Merciful so you would be to Satan a companion [in Hellfire]." } Quran ( 19 : 41 - 45 )

Fire is a coolness and safety upon Abraham
Allah supported Abraham when they threw him into the fire, so he commanded it to be cool and safety upon him. No harm befall him. He found nothing wrong with this trial.
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { We [i.e., Allah] said, "O fire, be coolness and safety upon Abraham." } Quran ( 21 : 69 )
