الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 1 الآية :

وَٱلذَّـٰرِيَٰتِ ذَرۡوٗا

By the [winds] scattering [dust], dispersing [it]

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 2 الآية :

فَٱلۡحَٰمِلَٰتِ وِقۡرٗا

And the [clouds] carrying a load [of water]

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 3 الآية :

فَٱلۡجَٰرِيَٰتِ يُسۡرٗا

And the ships sailing with ease

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 4 الآية :

فَٱلۡمُقَسِّمَٰتِ أَمۡرًا

And the [angels] apportioning [each] matter,

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 5 الآية :

إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٞ

Indeed, what you are promised is true.

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 6 الآية :

وَإِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ لَوَٰقِعٞ

And indeed, the recompense is to occur.

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 7 الآية :

وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلۡحُبُكِ

By the heaven containing pathways,[1]

1- Explained as tracks, layers or orbits.

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 8 الآية :

إِنَّكُمۡ لَفِي قَوۡلٖ مُّخۡتَلِفٖ

Indeed, you are in differing speech.[1]

1- About Prophet Muúammad () and the QurÕŒn.

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 9 الآية :

يُؤۡفَكُ عَنۡهُ مَنۡ أُفِكَ

Deluded away from it [i.e., the QurÕŒn] is he who is deluded.

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 10 الآية :

قُتِلَ ٱلۡخَرَّـٰصُونَ

Destroyed are the misinformers[1]

1- Or "May they be destroyed" or "cursed."

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 11 الآية :

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ فِي غَمۡرَةٖ سَاهُونَ

Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless.

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 12 الآية :

يَسۡـَٔلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوۡمُ ٱلدِّينِ

They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?"

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 13 الآية :

يَوۡمَ هُمۡ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ يُفۡتَنُونَ

[It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire.

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 14 الآية :

ذُوقُواْ فِتۡنَتَكُمۡ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ

[And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient."

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 15 الآية :

إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّـٰتٖ وَعُيُونٍ

Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs,

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 16 الآية :

ءَاخِذِينَ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ قَبۡلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحۡسِنِينَ

Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good.

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 17 الآية :

كَانُواْ قَلِيلٗا مِّنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ مَا يَهۡجَعُونَ

They used to sleep but little of the night,[1]

1- i.e., spending a portion of the night in prayer and supplication.

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 18 الآية :

وَبِٱلۡأَسۡحَارِ هُمۡ يَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَ

And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness,

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 19 الآية :

وَفِيٓ أَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡ حَقّٞ لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلۡمَحۡرُومِ

And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived.

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 20 الآية :

وَفِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ءَايَٰتٞ لِّلۡمُوقِنِينَ

And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith]

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 21 الآية :

وَفِيٓ أَنفُسِكُمۡۚ أَفَلَا تُبۡصِرُونَ

And in yourselves. Then will you not see?

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 22 الآية :

وَفِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ رِزۡقُكُمۡ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ

And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised.

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 23 الآية :

فَوَرَبِّ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقّٞ مِّثۡلَ مَآ أَنَّكُمۡ تَنطِقُونَ

Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking.

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 24 الآية :

هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيۡفِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ ٱلۡمُكۡرَمِينَ

Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham?[1]

1- Who were angels given honored positions by AllŒh.

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 25 الآية :

إِذۡ دَخَلُواْ عَلَيۡهِ فَقَالُواْ سَلَٰمٗاۖ قَالَ سَلَٰمٞ قَوۡمٞ مُّنكَرُونَ

When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace; [you are] a people unknown."

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 26 الآية :

فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِهِۦ فَجَآءَ بِعِجۡلٖ سَمِينٖ

Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf.

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 27 الآية :

فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ إِلَيۡهِمۡ قَالَ أَلَا تَأۡكُلُونَ

And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat?"

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 28 الآية :

فَأَوۡجَسَ مِنۡهُمۡ خِيفَةٗۖ قَالُواْ لَا تَخَفۡۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَٰمٍ عَلِيمٖ

And he felt from them apprehension.[1] They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy.

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 29 الآية :

فَأَقۡبَلَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ فِي صَرَّةٖ فَصَكَّتۡ وَجۡهَهَا وَقَالَتۡ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٞ

And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman!"

الذَّارِيَاتِ Adh-DhŒriyŒt 30 الآية :

قَالُواْ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ

They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing."
