أَلۡهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُCompetition in [worldly] increase diverts you
حَتَّىٰ زُرۡتُمُ ٱلۡمَقَابِرَUntil you visit the graveyards.
1- i.e., remain in them temporarily, meaning until the Day of Resurrection.
كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَNo! You are going to know.
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَThen, no! You are going to know.
كَلَّا لَوۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ عِلۡمَ ٱلۡيَقِينِNo! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty...
1- The conclusion of this verse is estimated to be "...you would not have been distracted from preparing for the Hereafter."
لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلۡجَحِيمَYou will surely see the Hellfire.
ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيۡنَ ٱلۡيَقِينِThen you will surely see it with the eye of certainty.
1- i.e., with actual eyesight.
ثُمَّ لَتُسۡـَٔلُنَّ يَوۡمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِThen you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure.
1- i.e., the comforts of worldly life and whether you were grateful to AllŒh for His blessings.
