وَٱلۡعَٰدِيَٰتِ ضَبۡحٗاBy the racers, panting,
1- i.e., the horses of those fighting for AllŒh's cause as they race to attack the enemy.
فَٱلۡمُورِيَٰتِ قَدۡحٗاAnd the producers of sparks [when] striking
1- Their hoofs while galloping over rocky terrain.
فَٱلۡمُغِيرَٰتِ صُبۡحٗاAnd the chargers at dawn,
1- While the enemy is unaware.
فَأَثَرۡنَ بِهِۦ نَقۡعٗاStirring up thereby [clouds of] dust,
فَوَسَطۡنَ بِهِۦ جَمۡعًاArriving thereby in the center collectively,
1- i.e., penetrating into the enemy ranks during a surprise attack.
إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ لِرَبِّهِۦ لَكَنُودٞIndeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful.
وَإِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٞAnd indeed, he is to that a witness.
1- Through his speech and his actions.
وَإِنَّهُۥ لِحُبِّ ٱلۡخَيۡرِ لَشَدِيدٌAnd indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense.
۞أَفَلَا يَعۡلَمُ إِذَا بُعۡثِرَ مَا فِي ٱلۡقُبُورِBut does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered
وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِي ٱلصُّدُورِAnd that within the breasts is obtained,
1- i.e., when all secrets are made known.
إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لَّخَبِيرُۢIndeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Aware.
1- Fully acquainted and familiar with everything about each one of them.
