No exclusion from jobs, no blocking of social media, no media
attack. The Qur’an forbids us from doing what happens with
religious minorities in some countries,... rather, it commands us
to deal with them righteously
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { Allah does not
forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and
do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous toward
them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who
act justly. } Quran ( 8 : 60 )
If television programs followed the guidance of Islam in searching
for points of agreement and not points of disagreement, then
perhaps they would not get high views ( sensationalism )
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { And do not argue
with the People of the Scripture except in a way that is best,
except for those who commit injustice among them, and say, "We
believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you.
And our God and your God is one; and we are Muslims [in
submission] to Him." } Quran ( 46 : 29 )
It is permissible to consume the meat slaughtered by the people of
the book and to marry the women of the people of the book
There are no closed societies or an isolated part inside the
community ( No redlining ). We eat from the food of the People of
the Book even though Muslims have a specific method of
slaughtering, just as it is permissible for us to marry their
women..the society is a family that includes everyone
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { This day [all]
good foods have been made lawful, and the food of those who were
given the Scripture is lawful for you and your food is lawful for
them. And [lawful in marriage are] chaste women from among the
believers and chaste women from among those who were given the
Scripture before you, when you have given them their due
compensation,1 desiring chastity, not unlawful sexual intercourse
or taking [secret] lovers. And whoever denies the faith - his work
has become worthless, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the
losers. } Quran ( 5 : 5 )
At a time when the veil of Muslim women is removed in the street,
the Qur’an instructs us to respond in a good way to the greetings
of the non-Muslims, friendliness and compassion are the hallmarks
of Islamic society
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { And when you are
greeted with a greeting, greet [in return] with one better than it
or [at least] return it [in a like manner]. Indeed Allah is ever,
over all things, an Accountant. } Quran ( 86 : 4 )
There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion.
There are no " Inquisition " in Islam, there is no "big brother"
that forces you to hold a certain belief, and there is no
"brainwashing" Accepting Islam must come from the heart first. And
completely freely
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { There shall be no
compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has
become distinct from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in ṭāghūt1
and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold
with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing. } Quran (
256 : 2 )
Even if you concealed your identity behind an anonymous account on
a social networking site, insults and indecency with those who
differ with you in religion is something strictly prohibited by
the Qur’an.
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { And do not insult
those they invoke other than Allah, lest they insult Allah in
enmity without knowledge. Thus We have made pleasing to every
community their deeds. Then to their Lord is their return, and He
will inform them about what they used to do. } Quran ( 108 : 6 )
It is recommended to treat kindly the non Muslim captives
"Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib" are two examples for the treatment of
the prisoners in the modern era. However, Islam provides another
example. You give the captive your food to relieve his pain even
if you are hungry."
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { And they give
food in spite of love for it1 to the needy, the orphan, and the
captive, } Quran ( 8 : 76 )
Religious minorities around the world always demand justice and
equality, but in Islam this is a minimum limit. Islam calls for
treating the non Muslims kindly, such as helping the needy and
giving gifts.
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { Indeed, Allah
orders justice and good conduct and giving [help] to relatives and
forbids immorality and bad conduct and oppression. He admonishes
you that perhaps you will be reminded. } Quran ( 90 : 16 )
Islam legislated keeping the worshipping places of the non Muslims
safe
A few days ago, the French Interior Minister boasted that they had
closed nine mosques, but under the rule of Islam, the safety of
churches and temples is guaranteed by the command of the Qur’an.
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { [They are] those
who have been evicted from their homes without right - only
because they say, "Our Lord is Allah." And were it not that Allah
checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been
demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which
the name of Allah is much mentioned [i.e., praised]. And Allah
will surely support those who support Him [i.e., His cause].
Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might. } Quran ( 40 : 22
)
Millions of human beings are victims of the cost of the so-called
fighting terrorism, while the Qur’an enjoins us to stick to
justice even with those who initiate aggression. Justice is the
base of dealing with the non-Muslims .. not taking revenge.
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { O you who have
believed, be persistently standing firm for Allah, witnesses in
justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from
being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness. And fear
Allah; indeed, Allah is [fully] Aware of what you do. } Quran ( 8
: 5 )
In New Zealand less than two years ago, a terrorist killed 50
Muslims inside the mosque simply because they were neither of his
faith nor of his nationality. He was not informed of the words of
the Almighty:
( interpretation of the meaning ) : { O mankind, indeed We have
created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes
that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in
the sight of Allah is the most righteous1 of you. Indeed, Allah is
Knowing and Aware. } Quran ( 13 : 49 )
Countries differentiate between citizens and non-citizens, and
people differentiate between those who follow their religion and
those who do not, but the Qur’an safeguards the dignity of the
human being
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { And We have
certainly honored the children of Adam and carried them on the
land and sea and provided for them of the good things and
preferred them over much of what We have created, with [definite]
preference. } Quran ( 70 : 17 )
All studies show that "bullying" among boys and girls is one of
the main reasons that push them into the chasm of depression that
may lead to suicide. Sarcasm and blasphemy are strictly prohibited
in the Holy Quran, and are considered acts of immorality.
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { O you who have
believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they
may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women;
perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one
another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames.
Wretched is the name [i.e., mention] of disobedience after [one's]
faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the
wrongdoers. } Quran ( 11 : 49 )
One of them may look at someone who differs from him in color and
language, and then he considers him a threat to his country,
culture and lifestyle. Whereas a Muslim looks at someone who
differs from him in language and color and sees one of the signs
of Allah.
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { And of His signs
is the creation of the heavens and the earth and the diversity of
your languages and your colors. Indeed in that are signs for those
of knowledge. } Quran ( 22 : 30 )
Whether you are African, Asian or European ... poor or rich ...
whether you work in the presidential palace or in an agricultural
field, there is one criterion for goodness in the Qur’an .
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { Indeed, they who
have believed and done righteous deeds - those are the best of
creatures. } Quran ( 7 : 98 )
You may be a descendant of a royal family or a homeless man in the
street. The Qur’an states that these matters will be of no effect
in the Hereafter.
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { So when the Horn
is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor
will they ask about one another. } Quran ( 101 : 23 )
Slavery was rejected in Islam over 1,400 years ago
Islam dried up the sources of slavery and encouraged the
emancipation of slaves fourteen centuries ago, whereas the world
did not pay attention to this but since one century ago
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { But he has not
broken through the difficult pass.1And what can make you know what
is [breaking through] the difficult pass? It is the freeing of a
slave } Quran ( 11 - 13 : 90 )
Islam restored the consideration of women dignity to the humanity
In all aspects of life, and whatever they claim to be civilized,
women today struggle to be dealt with justice .. The Qur’an
settled this right centuries ago
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { And due to them
[i.e., the wives] is similar to what is expected of them,
according to what is reasonable.3 } Quran ( 228 : 2 )
